Part of the University of Sheffield's Department of Information Studies in the UK, this island mainly focuses on information literacy and inquiry-based learning.
Here is the home screen, this is where you can teleport to the Journal room.
This a Journal Room. It has many articles posted in it and you can also post articles. Looks as though it has not been updated since 2016.
There was a nice PowerPoint about using virtual worlds in education.
It seems like this island is not finish and/or up to date. It does include some nice information about SL. This would a nice intro to SL site. I am not how good it would be in a PD.

The powerpoint is a neat find. I have noticed many worlds that I transport too are either underdeveloped or forgotten about. It would be nice to have an area that only finished islands are posted. I am guessing since most things did not show any acitivity since 2016 that there were no current events posted for meetings etx?
Ashley,
This looks like a creative set-up. Like you,as well as, Sherry in her comment have both mentioned, I have been noticing how a lot of the locations have a good start to them; however, the creators appear to have left them unfinished. I did think there were a number of interesting posters and graphic organizers posted throughout the facility. I have found, that for myself, personally, with many of the locations I have explored, I start to get distracted by the different decorations, moving items, knick-knacks, etc. I don't know if anyone else has had that happen to them, but I often to reel my attention back to the task at hand!
That is what I was thinking also Sherri! Seems like they have forgotten about this island.
I replied to Angela's on Sakai. Thanks for visiting ladies.
